Reed Thorne of Ropes That Rescue designed this connector to perform as a quick, one-handed attachment to a structure for maximum safety when placing belay protection. It provides quick connections to towers and other structures when protecting an ascent using a lead-climbing technique. The custom-designed aluminum ring reduces weight and provides a wide, smooth-bearing surface for the rope. The 1-in (25 mm) web has red wear indicators for easy inspection. The double-locking carabiner gate can be opened with one hand. Exceeds OSHA minimum strength requirement of 22.2 kN (5,000 lbf) for anchorage connectors.
